La Perla grow Nebbiolo and Pignola valtellinese in Valtellina, at Valgella –
Tresenda di Teglio, at the heart of the famous vine-covered terraces in Sondrio
Province, Lombardy in northern Italy. Marco Triacca, owner of La Perla winery,
graduated in Agricultural Engineering from ETH Zurich, with a master’s degree
in Viticulture and Oenology from Montpellier and Bordeaux.

Description

The 2012 Valtellina Superiore color is a beautiful bright ruby red and is
definitely identified in the typical Nebbiolo di Valtellina. Excellent clarity. The
nose is fresh with beautiful fruit. The wine is of good intensity and good body.
The elegance that makes the wine really inviting to drink is fascinating.
Excellent balance of acidity with the remaining scents. Editors Choice at 93
points in Wine Enthusiast.
