Macchialupa Taurasi 2014 DOCG – Red wine

This is regarded as one of the newer exciting estates to produce fine examples of classic wines from the area. The estate was established in 2001 by Angelo Valentino, an oenologist specialising in Fiano di Avellino and Aglianico di Taurasi, and Giuseppe Ferrara, an agronomist viticulturist specialising in Greco di Tufo.

Description

This wine is a vivid ruby-red colour. The aroma is intense and complex, slightly ethereal,
fruity, flowery and spicy with the scent of blackberries marasca (wild cherry) violet, tobacco, cinnamon and vanilla. The taste is dry, warm, soft with a good concentration of tannins, acidity and sapidity, with a full body, well balanced and intense long lasting persistence.
