Winemaker
Marco Accordini (listed as Winemaker on producer team page)

The estate was purchased by the Accordini family in the 20th century. It has deep country roots: the founders were share-croppers, then landowners and finally wine-makers. The historic vineyards of Bessole and Fornetto, planted by Stefano in the seventies, were supplemented in 2000 by the purchase of new high altitude land in the Valpolicella Classica zone. Led by Stefano and his two sons, Tiziano and Daniele, this company has a long tradition of wine making. Today Tiziano directs the marketing and manages the winery, while Daniele is concerned with oenology.

Intense red ruby colour with garnet shades, elegant bouquet with black cherry hints, very mature fruits and spices. It’s a wine with great structure and complexity, but still smooth.

Producer

The Accordini family's roots in Valpolicella go back to the early 1900s, when Gaetano Accordini made wine as a sharecropper before the family became landowners and then producers. Based at Fumane in the Classico zone, the estate works the historic Bessole and Fornetto vineyards and makes Valpolicella, Ripasso and Amarone under the Acinatico label, with il Fornetto as its top single-vineyard selection. An organic line sits alongside the classic range.

Tasting note

Intense red ruby colour with garnet shades, elegant bouquet with black cherry hints, very mature fruits and spices. It’s a wine with great structure and complexity, but still smooth.
